What is the CIC compliance app and what can it track?

Accepted Answer

The CIC compliance app is a configurable field-inspection and reporting platform. It brings site checks, evidence, issue history and report outputs into one structured workflow instead of keeping them across paper forms, phone photos, emails and spreadsheets.

Depending on the agreed configuration, it can support:

sites, properties, lots, assets or service areas
inspection checklists and result categories
photos, notes, timestamps, location data and inspector attribution
new, continuing, pending and cleared issue states
repeat-issue visibility and corrective-action history
shared team access and review-only client access
PDF, CSV and other agreed report outputs

CIC can carry out inspections as a managed service or assess a configuration for a client's own field team.

The app can turn structured inspection records into client-ready reports. The final layout and delivery process are configured around the agreed scope and may include:

the site, inspection period and checklist scope
summary counts for new, continuing, pending and cleared issues
priority or escalation items
detailed findings, photos and factual notes
action owners, target dates and close-out evidence
repeat-issue history and status changes
PDF, CSV or another agreed export format

Some clients may receive a scheduled report, while authorised users may have review-only access between reporting periods. Access should be limited to the people who need the information, and reports should be shared through the client's approved channel.

If a report appears incomplete or contains the wrong site, dates, evidence or recipients, do not send it onward. Contact the CIC team or your organisation's app administrator so the record and report configuration can be checked.

Yes. CIC can assess routine and periodic maintenance for commercial carpets and hard floors.

Carpet planning considers fibres, condition, traffic, spills, furniture access and available drying time. Hard-floor planning considers the material, coatings, finish, soil type, traffic, edges and equipment access.

Depending on the assessment, suitable work may include routine care, spot priorities, machine scrubbing, buffing or burnishing, extraction-style carpet cleaning, or strip-and-seal work on compatible floors. No method should be promised until the surface and site are assessed.
